FAQ
What areas does Lakehead Heating & Cooling serve?
We're based in Duluth, MN and serve Duluth and the greater Northland, including Duluth, Hermantown, Proctor, Cloquet, Esko, Two Harbors, Silver Bay, Saginaw, Carlton, Wrenshall, and Scanlon.
What are your hours?
The office is open every day 8a–8p.
I'm having urgent heating issues. What should I do?
Call (218) 206-6075 rather than sending a request form. No-heat calls jump the queue ahead of routine work, and a phone call is the only way to reach us in real time.
How does your pricing work?
Flat-rate and upfront. We diagnose the actual problem, quote a firm price before any work starts, and you approve it before we lift a wrench. The invoice matches the quote.
Are you certified?
Yes. We're EPA Section 608 certified, which is the federal certification required to handle refrigerant.
Do you warranty your work?
Yes. All of our workmanship carries a 12-month labor warranty. The equipment we install carries a 10-year manufacturer parts warranty, and we handle the registration for you.
What do you install and repair?
Furnaces, boilers, air conditioners, cold-climate heat pumps, ductless mini-splits, and indoor air quality equipment like filtration, humidifiers, and air exchangers. We work on every major brand.
Do heat pumps actually make sense for cold climates?
We offer heat pumps rated to well below zero, so they keep producing heat through a Northland winter and can offset much of your gas heating over the season.
Do you offer financing?
Yes, on new furnaces, boilers, air conditioners, and heat pumps, through third-party lenders. Rates and terms vary, so ask us for current options when you call.
What does the maintenance membership include?
One seasonal tune-up per system per year, priority scheduling, and 10% off repairs. It's priced by how many systems you have, so call (218) 206-6075 and we'll quote your setup with no obligation.
Still wondering?
Ask us directly. Call (218) 206-6075 during office hours (every day 8a–8p), or send a request and we'll get back to you.
